Meet Celine, Marine and Andrea

Two young girls with long hair posing next to a table full of Lego robots and toys, in a room with colorful decorations and a mirror in the background.

My name is Marine Samamé and I am proud to carry on something that meant so much to my brother and continue to make purposeful impacts on the community. Legos have been a big part of my childhood and they allowed me to express my creativity as well as curiosity for designing. Legos created the foundation for my interest in Architecture and they have allowed me to pay closer attention to composition in every day life. I want to be able to keep spreading the gift of curiosity in children so they can develop new meaningful passions. I started my volunteering journey at Person to Person starting in 8th grade working in the food pantry and clothing center as well as a few occasional drives. Whether organizing food, clothes, or meeting new clients, I feel so grateful to help out people in need.

Hey! My name is Andrea and I’m also a sophomore at Darien High School. These days, I’m an active tennis player, volunteer EMT, a pianist, and artist! But growing up, I was a toy-fanatic, whether it was stealing my brothers legos, getting my own new lego friends sets, and using my american girl dolls to make little stop motion videos. I become in love with the structure and construction of lego sets and how building blocks could create my own set. I never seemed to grasp all that went into the construction of a set, and Le’go your Lego’s has been a way for me to spread creativity, ambition, and passion that I found so important in my life growing up. It is super important to me to give back to kids with simple lego sets so that they are able to find their own interests and create their own imaginative world through these sets!

Hi, My name is Celine Samamé and I am Sophomore at Darien High School who enjoys playing tennis, baking, playing the piano, and making art. Working with “Le’go of your Legos” has become more than just a charity organization. By continuing my brothers legacy, I will strive to bring others together, lend a helping hand and make small differences in my community everyday. Since 8th grade, I have enjoyed volunteering at Person to Person and helping others. Whether it’s in the food pantry, clothing center, or showing up during occasional drives, I have learned what it truly means to give back. Additionally, from a young age, Legos have inspired my creativity. Today, I am interested in Architecture and how design makes a difference in our everyday lives. Although as a kid I was only experimenting and having fun with Legos, this passion overtime has translated into something more meaningful. My hope is that through Legos, others can explore their intrests and learn about themselves.
